Excerpt :
"It is daylight in Nantes.
I am confined.
In my room which is also my living room.
Living room which is above all my office.
I draw a woman.
A woman with a pot.
I will name her that way by the way.
Later, a friend sends me a text she has written.
This encourages me to write in my turn.
But write about what?
I have to draw first.
In my one-and-a-half room,
I escape by looking at the works of Douanier Rousseau.
The confinement makes me want to travel,
of lush landscapes, forests and flowers.
I draw two women that I frenetically surround with foliage and enter into an "almost trance" that sometimes happens when creating something.
This image seems to come straight out of a dream.
They are naked, bound, tied to each other.
These are the first words I will write to accompany them.
Twelve drawings of this epic journey will germinate.
All are born of a certain darkness tinged with light.
Moments escaped from one between two worlds.
It is night in Nantes.
Time is in deconfinement.
In my bedroom which is also my living room,
it seems natural to me to oppose the duality of the black of the ink to the white of the paper.
This is how these drawings will be silk-screened."
